Enjoy Tunes on the Terrace on the Riverview Terrace at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, located along the banks of the Rock River. All concerts are FREE, so bring family and friends, and don’t forget a lawn chair or blanket! Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are available for purchase.

June 20: Swingbilly RFD                      

Swingbilly RFD brings foot stomping music to the 2018 opening night of Tunes on the Terrace at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens. You are sure to enjoy their soul-warming Rust Belt Honky Tonk and Western Swing montage!           

June 27: Long-Shot

Singer/songwriters Long-Shot blend indie rock, acoustic blues, and outlaw country with originality and honesty embedded in their stories and songs.                                   

July 11: Jodi Beach Trio

Jodi Beach is not simply a singer/pianist, she is a storyteller, a theme weaver, a scrapbook of our lives presented in song. Her performances walk the listener through a gallery of fine works by the masters, and let them linger in their grace.

July 18: Steve McClanahan                     

Steve McClanahan is a solo acoustic guitarist/singer from the Rockford area. He performs a vast variety of pop and rock cover songs ranging from well-known crowd favorites to some more obscure selections.

July 25: Gabe Burdulis                            

Gabe’s songwriting style has been described as a “more country version of John Mayer,” mixing blues and Americana styles. His roots began in Madison, WI, and the 21 year-old singer/songwriter is currently based out of Nashville, TN.

August 1: The Backroads Trio                         

An acoustic band out of Rockford, IL. Their music and commentary will take you on a pleasant journey down the back roads of time, rekindling fond memories as they cover hits and popular tunes from the past, including the Drifters, Jimmy Buffet, CCR, the Eagles, Marshall Tucker, Kenny Chesney, John Denver, and more!

August 8: H!P Pocket                                

H!p Pocket plays a variety of smooth jazz, R&B, pop and popular sounds from today.  Their music is easy listening and promotes a fun atmosphere for all.

August 15: Paper Airplane                           

Acoustic guitar and vocal duo of Noel and Amy Nickel. The two have been performing throughout northern Illinois for over five years, playing an unexpected mix of songs from the '60s to today. Working with one guitar and one voice, they challenge themselves to reinvent well-known tunes in fresh new ways.

August 22: Kelly Steward                             

Rockford-based signer-songwriter Kelly Steward offers haunting, neotraditional country mediations wrapped in midwestern rock sensibilities for a sound all her own.

August 29: Kevin Earlywine                          

Kevin is a singer/songwriter who hails from Rockford, Illinois. He was inspired by classic songs from the fifties and sixties to write his introspective debut pop album, “Danger,” which was released in February 2017. Kevin also incorporates familiar classics from the fifties and sixties for a fun night of easy listening.

September 5: After 5 Jazz                               

After 5 Jazz is a collaborative improvisational jazz music project featuring keyboardist Dave Ross, upright bassist Greg Clough, and percussionist Thom Fishe. The group performs traditional, smooth, and original jazz compositions in a classic/vintage night club swingin’ style.

September 12: Reed & Waddy

Reed & Waddy are back! This three piece band can be seen at various venues throughout the year in Rockford. Best known for playing light rock, classic pop & blues.

September 19: Trinadora Rocks     

Trinadora Rocks produces an amazingly full sound complete with four-part harmonies. Offering a fascinating variety of music, a Trinadora Rocks concert incorporates vintage and classic rock and country, blues, gospel, jazz, Latin, Celtic music and more.
